Holy-Martine

Holy-Martine , called formerly Holy-Martine-with-Châteauguay , is a municipality of the Quebec, located in the regional Municipalité of county of Beauharnois-Salaberry and the administrative area of the Montérégie.

This small village knew to preserve its pastoral charm while being at 21 km of Montreal, by the road 138 and the Pont Draper. It is named in the honor of Martine of Rome, martyrdom into 226.

The territory of the municipality as it is now is the result of fusion with the Municipalité of parish of Saint-Paul-with-Châteauguay, which entirely included the village of Holy-Martine, the September 8th 1999

Holy-Martine is recognized for the Agriculture.

The winter, splendid a Patinoire is arranged on the Rivière Châteauguay which skirts the village.

There is also a skating rink external which can be used the summer in Patin with aligned wheels or the winter in Iceskate.
