Town planning

Overall picture

The fabric of the commune is rather loose. One finds several cores inhabited separated by important distances, easily being able to reach the kilometer, these spaces being occupied by grounds of farm. The principal cores are located at the borough and Baynes, the others consistent in houses built along the roads.

Traditional constructions

The traditional house exists in two compatible variations between them, because the kinds can mix.
  • the house built out of stone: the stone rather red and is presented in the more or less flattened hardcore shape. The church of the borough is an good example of this kind of construction.
  • the clay house, taking again the technique of cob. The base remains however out of stone. The brick and the tile can supplement the building.

The real estate today

The city of Europe is the first example of true town planning (social) with Holy-Marguerite-to It, being appeared as houses built in breeze blocks or concrete. Since the years 2000, the orientation of the pieces of ground changes gradually: the patches of land near the borough are sold either with goal of exploitation, but with goal of construction, the houses modern being done increasingly many. In addition, of the social housing were built in the district of the station.

Places and monuments

  • the Holy-Marguerite church, in the borough.
  • the Notre-Dame vault of the Road, with the periphery of the commune, devoted on November 23rd, 1953 and built thanks to the devotion of the Unpleasant abbot (cleaned commune of 19943 to 1954) which organized village fairs, sold papers and rags to collect funds and with the contributions of the faithful ones. She replaced a vault out of wooden and sheets built by the troops states-uniennes at the time of the unloading.
