Holy-Florence-with-the Oie is a common French, located in the department of the the Vendée and the area Pays of the Loire. Celebrate crossroads and relay of station of Four-Way-in-the Oie (Nantes-Bordeaux/Paris them Sables of Olonne).
Geography
Located in the area of the Low-Scrap-metal, to rural prevalence and the timbered landscapes, it is announced in particular by the vast national forest of Herbergement, which owes its name with the Seigniory on which it depended with the Moyen-âge, the castle of Herbergement-Ydreau and whose oaks and charms cover more than 250 hectares.
History
At the time of the war of the Vendée, but already with the Revolution, the forest of Herbergement was the theater many combat between Républicains and Vendean, near Four-Way-in-the Oie. And it is there that, on December 8th, 1793, the Charrette general attacked and removed in half an hour a camp of 2000 Republicans.
