Holy-Anne source of Abatilles
The source of Abatilles is located near the forest of pines of Arcachon in the Gironde. She was discovered by chance in 1923 by engineer Louis Lemariè, at the time of a Forage of prospection to find Pétrole, with a 472 meters depth. The analyzes revealed that it was about a Eau pure, not very mineral-bearing, and having interesting therapeutic properties from:
- a weak mineralization
- its thermality (25°6)
- its Radioactivity (0,10 milli microcurie)
- its absolute purity
The source will be exploited starting from 1925, date on which she is recognized by the medical community for her thermal qualities.
The Source of Abatilles belongs today to Perrier - Vittel SA (Group Nestlé)
