Hollywood Porn Stars is a Belgian group of Rock

Originating in Liege the group is formed during the summer 2002 at the time of the contest Circuit (famous springboard rock'n'roll in French-speaking Belgium): Anthony Sinatra and Michael - alias RedBoy-, then respective members of the groups Piano Club and My Little Cheap Dictaphone are linked to propose a project with the organizers. The two guitarists/singers know each other already sight, and the power is on at once. In two days, three pieces are recorded. And to put all the chances on their side, the two boys choose a name slap-with-L' eye: Hollywood Porn Stars.

Quickly, they are selected. They should then supplement the combo. Benoît Damoiseau incarnates the perfect beater for the group, while Eric Swennen, large amateur of rock'n'roll and ex-member of Discochoc replaces bass player.

HPS begins a series in concerts then and gains the contest. The group which owed splitter after the contest signs then at a local label and records a EP 6 titles: All One The Six. Success is with go. The group multiplies the concerts in all Europe and the first parts (Hot Hot Heat, Primal Scream, The Donnas). Their style that they define themselves as “rock'n'roll guitar”, “pop-indie” even “émo” allures the public and the critic.

It is time of floor on an album. The group decides to separate from its recording company and to be put at work. A selection of twelve titles is soon recorded in 4 days under the conditions of live, and is mixed in two months. From there is born Year Of The Tiger.

Their second album, " Satelittes" , the day in 2007 sees. Contrary to the preceding opus, the group already at the head has a clear idea of what they want like result before even passing in studio. They will record about thirty titles to keep some to final the only twelve for the album.
