Holiday Park

Holiday Park is a Amusement park which is located close to, in the Land of the Rhineland-Palatinat in Germany. It very known is impassioned strong feelings since 2001, year of opening of its attraction headlight: Forwarding GeForce. The park is thématisé rather little. In 2006, the park accommodated 1,1 million visitors.

History

It is in 1970 that the Schneider family bought the ground on which already a small park ( Pfälzer Märchenparks ) was. The surface is not whereas of 7.000m ². The name Holiday Park was set up only in 1973. Each year, the park makes improvements and new attractions.

In 1979, it inaugurates its first roller coaster: SuperWirbel . At the same time, two other parks invest for this attraction (Walibi Wavre and Alton Towers).

2001 is a great year for Holiday Park since it is with the turn of the Expedition GeForce, a single attraction, to make its appearance.

In 2006, the park celebrated its 35 years, the Lighthouse Tower (of the flying Chaises which rises with a 80 meters height) was built on this occasion.

The mascot of the park is a green parrot named Holy .
