Hohrod
Hohrod is a common French, located in the department of the Haut-Rhin and the area Alsace.
The village of Hohrod is overhung by a hamlet named the “Hohrodberg”
Geography
History
In the past gathered with Munster until in 1847, the name of Hohrod comes from “Hoch” (high) and Roden (clearing). The first known origin goes back to the 13th century under the name of “Hoenrod”. Hohrod was an important battle field during the First World War.
