Hohenschwangau is a district of the commune of Schwangau, close to Füssen, in High-Bavaria.

The place is famous for the two castles which it shelters: the Castle of Hohenschwangau and that of Neuschwanstein. They belong to the most visited places Germany, approximately 2 million visitors per annum pass by the district: it is thus particularly invaded by tourist carparks, hotels, restaurants and stores.
