Hoelling
Hoelling (in German Höllingen ) is a variation of the common of Bettviller, in the French Département of the the Moselle.
Until 1811, year of its fusion, Hoelling was an independent commune.
Places and monuments
The church of Hoelling has a chalice in Laiton gilded and with cut in money, dating from the years 1880. Related by its style with the production of Weihinger, goldsmiths with Double-decker, it comprises a decoration of grosses Perle S, very characteristic of this workshop, under the festoons of the false-cut. The decoration of the water sheets distributed on the top of the foot, the upper part of the node and the basis of the false-cut seems an originality.
To the northern entry of the variation, a cross of the 18th century, to the modern brace, belongs to the series of the crosses with be-stele bent in plan. It is decorated of four Saint S placed under blind arcades, laid out in two registers: with the lower register, holy Wendelin with its crook and its Sheep S and holy Jean Népomucène, knelt, with the higher register, the Blessed Virgin and holy Jean, upright. Of a sculpture neater than the whole of the crosses and preserved martyrdoms, it has also a base framed with the face of two ailerons decorated with florets, whose function is only decorative.
