The hlai (other names: ha, IQ, meifu, bendi) are a spoken language in the mountainous regions of the center and the center-south of Hainan, in China. With the Jiamao, it forms a branch of the family of the Langues tai-kadai.

The speakers of the hlai belong to nationality Li. It is divided into five groups: ha Li, meifu Li, IQ Li, Li buildings and detou Li. Certain classified varieties as dialects could be languages with whole share.

The hlai has an official transcription in Roman characters.
