the History without end is a film germano - American of 1984, carried out by Wolfgang Petersen.

The film is not other than the adaptation of first half of the novel of Michael Ende: History without end .

Synopsis

Bastien, a very young boy, steals one entitled book the History without end in a bookstore, after the bookseller said to him that this book was dangerous. As it advances in the reading of the book, it finds itself belonging to the search of which the goal is to save the world and the inhabitants of Fantasia, the Fantastic Country…

Anecdotes

the film was turned in English.
Michael Ende declared that it was dissatisfied with film and refused that its name appears with the credits of beginning. Its name appears all the same into small in the credits of end.
At its exit, the film was expensive ever produced in Germany: 60 million Deutsche Mark.
In the book, the character of Atreyu to the green skin. But for film, tests of make-up avérèrant itself the not very conclusive, Atreyu was presented like an ordinary boy.
