Advertisement of the danger
On the island of Amity, young people make a night festival on a beach. One of the young women present, Chrissie Watkins (Susan Backlinie), flees of the group followed by an young man. Part to take a bath of midnight, it runs in the dunes, while being stripped. It plunges in the obscure sea, without being accompanied by the young man who crumbles on the shore, too drunk to remove all his clothing and not enough lucid to swim. The mayor gives his green light to the forwarding of Brody, Hooper and Quint
The next morning, Wednesday, July 3, Hooper and Brody explain to the mayor their discovery of the night before and ask him the procedure to follow. The final confrontation
In the morning, they continue to repair the damage caused by the shark during the night whereas reappears the floating barrel. Appearances of the shark
