Birth of Sporting Club of the West

Before the First World War, the clubs headlights of the city angevine is Angers Université Club (USFSA) and Valiant Sports (FGSPF). In 1919, with the blessing of the Bank of Credit of the West, Sporting Club of the West is born. The first ground is a field arranged street of Nantes: the Stage Fort. The first match of the SCO takes place there the October 19th 1919 vis-a-vis Nantes Stage CPU (demolished 1-2).
