Livre I was designed in order to be able to be followed occasionally: each episode is completely independent of the others and constitutes a narrative unit. Thus, there does not exist, contrary to Livre III and following, of basic history suitable for Livre I, which makes of it a kind of introduction to the universe of Kaamelott .
Certain points of the history are thus parsimoniously introduced, such as:
- secret love of Lancelot for the queen Guenièvre;
- the exceptional destiny of Perceval;
- the announced fall of the Roman Empire.
These topics will be developed definitely at the time of the following “books”…
To note that Livre I is the context of the series of cartoon inspired by Kaamelott , the author (Alexandre Astier) wanting that this last work can be apprehended separately by the readers, without having to know the bounces of the recent seasons.
Deliver II

Livre II, with the manner of Livre I, does not have basic history which is clean for him, but starts to initiate a chronological movement with the series by referring to episodes of the first book. Livre II mark an introduction to Livre III, in that the first dissensions and the first tensions are felt between Arthur and Lancelot.
Beginnings of the argument
Contrary to Livre I, in which Lancelot of the Lake is a faithful knight, courageous and noble, Livre II the beginning of a argument sees announced between the two best friends of the court of Kaamelott: king Arthur and the Lancelot knight. Indeed, the king is irritated more and more against Lancelot and this last supports the remonstrances badly ( Classes of Bohort ). Cynicism and the irony whose proof enveniment the two protagonists make their friendly relation ( magic Parchments , the Birthday of Guenièvre , Absent the ).
If Lancelot is discovered a new friend in the person of Bohort ( the Time of the secrecies ), to which it entrusts besides its love for the queen, it is the episode the Rebel who marks a turning in the history of Kaamelott . Thus, paroxysm of Livre II, after having insulted the king because it was not the right-hand man of this last, Lancelot is banished of Kaamelott (temporarily) and will return changed from there: Arthur will recognize indeed that the knight “hates even more than front. ”
In one of the last episodes of Livre II ( the Accounts ), Lancelot shows Léodagan to fly of the treasures to the king. If its suspicions are well-founded (see the Cassette and Cassette II ), the knight also takes part nevertheless him in the larceny while hiding in a bag buried under a tree of the relics which it reports of various searches. Thus, Lancelot prepares already its rupture with the king…
Tegeirian
Tegeirian is the name of a new character of Livre II. Initially known by the fans under the nickname of “ unknown beauty ”, it appears in the episode Arthur in Coils . In this episode, the king is in rest in his haven of peace in the park of the castle when an unknown factor in ballade, Tegeirian, joined it. Arthur falls in love then and a flower especially grafted for it by Guetenoc offers to him. Tegeirian does not notice that Arthur is the king of Brittany.
Its second appearance is in the episode Mad the , in which Arthur hesitates and wonders how long will put Tegeirian “to be made shit”. Tegeirian persuades it of its good will, and asks to him whether he knows the king. Léodagan arrives later, whereas Arthur sleeps in the arms of Tegeirian, and notes with surprise that the king revealed anything to him of his political offices.
Livres II with V do not contain a outcome for the history of Arthur and Tegeirian.
Deliver III

Livre III is the first book to follow a chronological basic history. If there always exists of many independent episodes, one notes the presence of others which advance the history. These episodes require to have followed the precedents because they conceal many references to those.
History (or arc) of Livre III concentrates around the end of the friendship between Arthur and Lancelot, and the beginning of a idylle for Arthur.
Lancelot, knight-errant
The first episode of Livre III, the Knight-errant , begins whereas Arthur is, with Calogrenant and other soldiers, in the search of Lancelot in a forest. Arthur is épié by Lancelot recluse and alive as a hermit, with clothing of peasant and a long beard. Calogrenant entrusts that at the village, the rumor circulates that Lancelot would have died. This one, made indignant, leaves wood then, with the great surprise of Arthur. After a short argument, Lancelot sets out again in the forest, by confirming to the king that it will not come any more to the meetings of the Roundtable. Pushed by Arthur, it agrees however to come to the meetings from complaints, “where presence is obligatory. ”
the magic Reinforcement
Another intrigue, more secondary this time, proceeds in parallel: co-operation of Merlin and Elias. This one begins with the episode the magic Reinforcement , in which Arthur and Léodagan require of Elias de Kelliwic' H, rival of Merlin, to help this last in its task of enchanter. Indeed, the invasions saxonnes are such as Merlin cannot more only manage them. Elias is initially proposed at the station of “assistant”, but its refusal force the king to name it “Enchanter of Brittany” at the sides of Merlin.
The cohabitation proves to be difficult when Elias decides to clean the laboratory of Merlin and him to confiscate of it the key ( the Co-operation ). In the episode Challenges of Merlin II , Merlin fights Elias in duel of magic to decide which of both will be the Enchanter of Brittany. These engagements end in a tie (1-1) - even if one is in right to think that the point of Merlin does not appear very glorious, this last having misled the capacity of telepathy of Elias while thinking of a share of clafoutis instead of a clafoutis.
Aelis
Pushed by Léodagan to try out “the local habits of Carmélide”, Arthur returns, in the episode the Last Insults , in the house of a chief of clan overcome “to meet” his/her oldest daughter. In the place, it is his/her younger sister who awaits it.Aelis, it is its name, very quickly shows the desire “for not letting leave king, for once a clean type and who do not resemble a goret passes by there. ” Rather than to yield to temptation, Arthur proposes to him to become its mistress at the court of Kaamelott, which it accepts. Aelis being even more virulent than Azénor, it will have evil to be made accept by the other mistresses and especially by the queen ( the black Hair ).
Prisca and Mevanwi
The episode Ablutions mark the beginning of the intrigue in love principal with Livre III: Lady Mevanwi, woman of the knight Karadoc, returns in the bathroom of the castle and discovers there the king, deadened in his bath-tub. It decides nevertheless to return there to take a bath, and the king awakes, in prey with a certain disorder. Indeed, Arthur will ask later Perceval if “something occurred enters. ”Arthur continues to doubt during a time, makes an implicit court with Mevanwi under the frightened eyes of Bohort and Venec ( the Disorder ), and leaves, in the episode the Pythea , to consult a conspicuous at the village. However, it proves that Arthur recognizes this woman. Indeed, he knew Prisca (it is its name) with Rome while he made his classes, and lived a short history in love with her. Having “always in the sentimental emmerdes”, Prisca entrusts to Arthur which it has no capacity: she “thus swindles” her customers…
Arthur becomes increasingly in love with Mevanwi, and derogates sometimes from its obligations of king to spend time with it ( Arthur in Love II ). One day that he consults Prisca on this subject, the eyes of the latter are illuminated and she entrusts of a serious voice: “ does not touch with the woman of the knight, Arthur. The gods would take it for an affront… ” ( the Bad one Forecasts ). Disconcerted, the king asks him to repeat, but Prisca does not remember to have pronounced this sentence: it was in fright and of it is not conscious.
Extremely of this warning, Arthur then tries to avoid Mevanwi, but this one is shown more pressing, and pushes Arthur to embrace it on the naive councils of Demetra ( the Roman Kiss ). The two in love ones are seen then regularly at night in the kitchens of the castle ( the Legislator ), which remains unsuspected, temporarily, by Guenièvre and Karadoc…
Arthur, king progressist
Livre III also brings it of the evidence of the aspect progressist of king Arthur. First of all, this one reforms the most severe laws gradually to soften them ( the Legislator ). Moreover, and it is the most important point by far, Arthur frees the possible maximum of slaves. Indeed, it decided to release the slaves of the castle and to pay them for their work ( Freed the ). Humble, Arthur does not want to be thanked for its rewards, but its employees, far from being accustomed to such a treatment, cannot prevent themselves some.
First cousins
In the episode the Amulet , Lancelot entrusts inopportunely to Karadoc which it has an amulet, a knife that “to his father king Ban” for his fourteen years offered to him. This news will arrive quickly at the ears of Bohort ( the Cousins ) which is being the son of the brother of Round of applause: Lancelot and are to him thus cousins.Lancelot will be very dissatisfied with this advertisement since, according to him, “a knight-errant does not have a cousin. ” It will be nevertheless rather happy to use Bohort as messenger of a special ticket for the queen…
the Argument
Lancelot changes. The faithful and pacifist knight of yesterday became quarrelsome and rebellious. He does not support any more the silly things of Perceval and Karadoc and is shown increasingly cruel (going until condemning a prisoner to fifteen days of dungeon without drinking in the Cousins ). The arguments and the dissensions with the king multiply ( Under Verrous II , the Mediator )… For example, in Under Verrous II , Arthur is inadvertently locked up by its guards which did not recognize it. Lancelot, which then proclaims intendant of the kingdom “until its identity is proven”, makes trail the things with an unavowed aim to keep the capacity. In the last but one episode, Hollow Man , Lancelot charges Bohort with carrying the message of its love to the Guenièvre queen. Arthur, made invisible by a potion missed by Merlin, attends the scene and is put in anger. The Dame of the Lake will confirm its fears while gaffant: “it is in love, it also, not the sorrow to make a history of it. ”
The double final episode marks the apotheosis of Livre III: Lancelot decides definitively to leave the court of Kaamelott and living as a hermit in his hut in the forest. Bohort tries to convince it to give up its “madness”, in vain. Arthur, that nothing retains close to the queen, is surprised by the latter whereas he embraces Mevanwi in the kitchens. Guenièvre becomes thus conscious of its love for Lancelot. Outraged, she asks her husband if he intends to kill “friendly Karadoc”, as it is the habit. She asks him moreover what it intends to do of her. Arthur hesitates, not knowing.
The final scene of Livre III, very intense dramatically, mark the first cliffhanger of the series: Guenièvre is in front of the hut of Lancelot, in the forest, accompanied by the following ones. Lancelot leaves its hut, amazed. Guenièvre looks at it, disturbed. The screen becomes black, and one hears corbels with far…
Deliver IV
See also: Amorce=Pour to discover the episodes of Livre IV, to see the articles, Season 4 of Kaamelott, List of the episodes of Kaamelott#Livre IV, List of the episodes of Kaamelott: Livre IV
Livre IV the intrigue of Livre  continues; III by using like principal arc the competition between Kaamelott and Lancelot, the history between Mevanwi and Arthur (of officialization to the renouncement), and the consequences that those involve: banishment of the Lady of the Lake, arrival of a Answer encapuchonnée and worrying… Thus, Livre IV focuses itself out of two geographical places (the camp of Lancelot in forest, and the castle of Kaamelott) and, by association, on two characters (Arthur and Lancelot).
With the castle of Arthur
After Guenièvre
The shortly after the departure of Guenièvre, consternation reigns in Kaamelott. The spies confirm the news: the queen left to live in the camp of Lancelot in forest. All regret it, except Arthur which it liked forever and which married it within the framework of an arranged marriage ( Every morning of the world ).The royal family of Carmélide is it also dismayed. Séli bitterly regrets the choice of his/her daughter, and fears for the place of her husband and his son to the Roundtable.
the Fault of Arthur and Mevanwi
Arthur and Mevanwi did not consume their love yet. Mevanwi, nevertheless, will push the king to do it in the double episode the Fault . The Lady of the Lake tries to intervene but arrives too late: the fault is made. The disorder is thrown: according to a law that he forever been able to abolish, Arthur sees himself constrained to cause with dead the husband of Mevanwi, the Karadoc knight. The latter, wearies, acknowledges in block with Karadoc her relation with Arthur, and pushes it to cause in duel the king. For Mevanwi, that would arrange all, because her husband would not be likely any to gain vis-a-vis the king. Without scruples, it sends Karadoc and Arthur to fight (double episode Duel ). Nevertheless, in the night preceding the duel, Arthur discovers an old law of the country of Valves, of which is originating Karadoc, which makes it possible two knights to exchange their respective wives in pledge of fraternity. Arthur jumps on the occasion and thus proposes with its knight to exchange Mevanwi against Guenièvre, which is always at Lancelot. Karadoc accepts with enthusiasm and is promised to go to recover Guenièvre.
Thus, to the great displeasure of the court and the knights (but with the great satisfaction of his/her mother Ygerne and his/her aunt Cryda - cf Approval ), Arthur celebrates the exchange of the wives close to the big lake (double episode the Exchange). The family of Carmélide, like Bohort and the Father Blaise, protest against this act whose legitimacy and validity are very debatable. Nevertheless, Arthur carries out the exchange in the absence of Guenièvre, and adopts for new Mevanwi wife.
Karadoc, very satisfied not to have had to fight against the king, then will try incursions at Lancelot to recover “woman”, without much success however.
the Answer of the gods
By ridiculing the traditions and the propriety, and by being unaware of the warning of Prisca the conspicuous one (in Livre III), Arthur plays with fire, and is found very quickly punished its affronts with the gods.Indeed, in the episode Revoked the , the Lady of the Lake unloads in the room of Arthur, on the terrestrial level. Grelotante, it announces to the king that the gods banished it divine plan, and that it from now on is blocked on Earth, without knowing how to eat, to drink, to get dressed, etc Arthur very quickly deals with it, by placing it in a small cattle shed ( Clandestine the ).
However, the gods further will express their anger: in the episode the Answer , Lancelot discovers a strange encapuchonné individual grinding close to his camp the Morgane fairy moreover has just learned to the king that an old prophecy is about to be carried out. Arthur seeks, with the assistance of a Father frightened Blaise, an old entitled book Prophecies . This one, once found, opens all alone in the page of the prophecy, which announces terror and desolation on the kingdom of Logres:
Century of the tears, howls/At the day gods, king de Logres makes affront/Lake combatant brother in the sword/Femme of Valves married makes fault/Panique, ruin, end of a world/On Earth without demon nor witch/Vient solitary god from Deaths of frights/the sky to the insult the Answer.
Arthur, amazed, nevertheless refuses, when the Lady of the Lake asks him, to go to recover his wife at Lancelot, but tries to seek a solution to return the first in its plan ( Anges and Démons ).
Perceval
The good will and the determination of Perceval, in spite of its great difficulties, seem to produce beginnings of results. Admittedly, its searches with Karadoc remain overall poor ( the gray Dragon ). But the Welshman makes some progress greeted by the king Arthur ( the red Inn ).Besides the friendship between Arthur and Perceval seems to be reinforced ( the life is beautiful ), increasing occasion consequently the determination of Perceval and its fidelity with the king ( Accustomed the ).
The knight of Wales also continues his lovesong with Angharad. But the tourtereaux ones discover that their meetings will be more difficult to organize, since one followed its mistress to the camp of Lancelot and that the other is always in Kaamelott ( the Hoods ).
the Rise of the Lion
Léodagan and Séli, which fears for their place at the court, decide to convince the king to replace Galessin (which joined Lancelot, cf the Traitor ) with the Roundtable by their son Yvain, “Knight with the Lion” (cf the Rise of the Lion ). Arthur accepts readily, with the great surprise of the couple of Carmélide, and Yvain joined his/her friend Gauvain with the Table. The two accomplices see themselves entrusting a mission of importance: to remain in a coastal turret and to supervise the enemy incursions ( the Big departure ). If they take their mission in heart, it is however difficult for them to rise early for their surveillance mission ( Tuteurs II ), and very quickly will return in Kaamelott, wearied to await the Changing .
the Reassignment will give the opportunity to them to supervise the entry of the castle…
the Parade of the mistresses
When the throne of the queen is left vacant after her departure for the forest, the covetousness of the mistresses of the king is immediately poked. In the episode the dangerous Connections , Demetra is the first to evoke the idea to benefit from the absence of the queen. She informs the other mistresses, Aelis and the Jumelles of the fisherman, her intention to make a child with the king to be able to reach the throne, and asks the others not to make some, by female solidarity.
Of course, neither Aelis nor the two binoculars plan to eclipse in favor of ambitious Demetra. Aelis thus proposes a league between it and the Binoculars, against Demetra. The Binoculars obviously then decide to league all alone against the others, and to become all the two queens.
Arthur sees then, in the episode the Parade , to ravel its mistresses who very ask him to choose them like new wife. Demetra declares with the king that, in spite of the respect that it carries to him, it considers that Guenièvre is completely unworthy to be queen, and explains why it is considered best placed to take her place. Aelis proposes its qualities of amante and the Binoculars affirm that they will be more effective while being two.
But the exchange of wife carried out by Arthur and Karadoc destroys the hopes of the mistresses of the king. Arthur then advises with his new wife not to turn the back in the corridors to them and to keep a weapon close to it…
A few hours after the '' Renoncement '' of Arthur, Aelis sees the vacant throne of queen, and decides retenter its chance, without the knowledge of the other mistresses, without much success nevertheless.
Lord Caius
As he had promised it to him in Livres II and III, Arthur offered to his/her friend, the Roman centurion Caius Camillus, a place of Breton lord, while the Roman Empire crumbles and that the Roman army in Brittany loses its influence. It however proves, when Arthur, Léodagan and Yvain visit him in the episode Seigneur Caius , that the former centurion pains to include/understand his role of ground lord and does not manage yet to manage its stronghold and its people.
In the episode the Roman Camp , Arthur and Yvain discover that the Caïus lord, nostalgic, left his grounds to turn over in a deserted Roman camp that Arthur had envisaged to destroy.
Merlin and Elias
Merlin and Elias continue their cohabitation of enchanters in Livre IV. This magic reinforcement is still not accepted by Merlin which sees his/her colleague like a rival, and Elias which considers that the official enchanter is only one good with nothing.
In addition, it is discovered quickly that Elias - known as Cheating the - tries to extract a maximum of personal profit while requiring of the government to pay him claws of dragon and other accessories of very expensive magic ( the Privileged person ). It proves however that Elias uses a potion of polymorphism to transform itself into Arthur and to grant these ingredients of luxury ( the Usurper ).
the Renouncement of Arthur
One night, Karadoc, only in its bed, cauchemarde (in the episode Alone in the Dark II ). Arthur comes to calm it, and entrusts to him that when it carried out the exchange, it knew that to recover Guenièvre was far from being possible. Karadoc, tired by its unfruitful incursions with the camp of Lancelot, thinks that it was preferable to have a less glorious woman, but presents, like Mevanwi. It goes then, in the episode the Legal flaw , to discover with the Father Blaise that the absence of one of the two wives during an exchange cancels the ceremony. Arthur, against any waiting, accepts the claim and the cancellation of the exchange.
Wearied anger of the gods and ambition of his new wife, the king officializes his intention (in the double episode the Renouncement ) while announcing in Mevanwi that it “will stop the shooting” and will leave it, in spite of the fact that it “likes, even when types to him on the system. ”
Involved in debt the
Accustomed to pass the major part of their time to the tavern, Perceval and Karadoc are disconcerted, in the Involved in debt episode the , to learn that the tavernier refuses to let them return as long as their debt, announced like colossal, will not have been refunded. The two friends ask for an financial aid Arthur, which accepts initially, to give them a lesson. Nevertheless, by considering the entire amount of the debt, probably at least 3967 gold coins, Arthur refuses, and the two knights see themselves constrained to work with the tavern to refund the sum due.
With the camp of Lancelot
Lancelot, Loth and Graal
Lancelot has just left definitively the Roundtable, joined by that which he likes, the Guenièvre Queen. He then discharges several men of Kaamelott (whose its aide-de-camp Ferghus) and starts a separatist movement, with the intention to increase and strengthen its camp, then to launch out itself in the search of Graal, being considered much worthier than the other Knights of the Roundtable to find it.He is joined by the duke Galessin d' Orcanie, who also betrays the Roundtable ( the Traitor ) according to the desires of the king Loth d' Orcanie. Indeed, this one, which considers that the capacity was concealed to him by Arthur ( the Parliament of the Kings 2nd part - Livre III) he criticizes the policy progressist, hopes to be made an ally of Lancelot to be able to reverse with its assistance the Breton capacity ( Dagonet and the Land register , Loth and Graal ). But the co-operation between the two allied ones is rather cold and difficult ( Remanence ) and Lancelot realizes quickly that Loth is interested more by the capacity than by Graal.
Lancelot and Guenièvre
Lancelot and Guenièvre are finally joined together, in their camping in forest, and their history starts with a mutual happiness ( Raison and Sentiments ). But the things are not long in becoming less idyllic…Indeed, Guenièvre tests difficulties of living in a hostile forest, and regrets the comfort of Kaamelott ( a simple life ). It makes for that come its following, Angharad, which leaves the castle with the great pleasure of the king Arthur ( Good the ). The following one fears however that the decision of Lancelot to close the access to the camp does not compromise its connection with Perceval ( Driven back the ). Moreover, because of their mutual inexperience, Lancelot and Guenièvre prove to be unable to practice together the things of the love ( the Beginners ).
Lastly, Guenièvre regrets deeply that Lancelot decided to continue the search of Graal and is very occupied by its activities. It establishes thus, in the episode Remanence , a parallel between Arthur and Lancelot, and manages from there to fear that its recent relation does not finish badly like the first. His/her lover will ensure to him that with the difference of Arthur, he would prefer “to kill with his hands rather than to lose. ”
Between the camp and the castle
Tensions
Lancelot hardens its position: it formally prohibits the entry in the camping with any external person and asks even its guards to attack at sight the inhabitants of Kaamelott. Ferghus is shown particularly dedicated in this task, even if it always does not include/understand the orders that one gives him.Arthur, not wishing him to engage a bloody war also easily, engages a spy via Venec ( At the Secret service of its Majesty ). But Nathair (it is its name) is not shown much more effective than the majority of its knights ( the Probe ) and has much evil with glaner information.
In this context, a meeting between Arthur and Lancelot are organized with the tavern ( the Face-to-face discussion ). The two former friends affirm their respect, but also their obligation to kill the other if it represents an obstacle for the search of Graal.
the Rescue
When the two men meet in a labyrinth, they cause and give each other appointment to decide, thanks to a duel, which of both will continue his mission. But Arthur prefers to let Lancelot engulf itself in the labyrinth, knowing that it will not come out from it before three days ( Double Dragon ).
After having given up back-plate with Mevanwi to alleviate the anger of the gods, Arthur decides to continue its redemption and to leave in the camp Lancelot to find Guenièvre ( the Rescue ). Benefitting from the absence of Lancelot, it constitutes a furtive commando (compound of Perceval, Karadoc, Léodagan and itself) helped of the plates of invisibility created by Merlin and Elias. The effect of surprise is total: after a rough battle, Arthur triumphs and discovers Guenièvre attached to its bed by Lancelot, for “which she does not succumb to temptation to leave. ” It releases it and brings back it to Kaamelott.
Disorder and the Night
The victory flash of Arthur throws the disorder among the allies of Lancelot. Loth and Galessin again convene Dagonet after having learned the return from Guenièvre on the throne of the kingdom of Logres. King Loth, having completely implied Dagonet, thinks of finally forsaking Lancelot to turn to Arthur. He gives the order to his men to withdraw separatist camp of Lancelot and to make there disappear any trace orcanienne.
On his side, the spy of the king submits his report/ratio: Lancelot is reported missing, and supposed insane since it often grew to be supervised by a man encapuchonné in black (already seen in the episode the Answer ).
And while the baptism of Perceval is done under the eyes of the court, those sometimes proud of Arthur and Guenièvre, and sometimes turned sour of Mevanwi, Lancelot unloads in its camp to discover there that this one was deserted. Ruant itself in its hut, he discovers that Guenièvre disappeared.
At the time of the final scene of Livre IV, most dramatic ever realized in the series, Lancelot, furious and disabled, lets itself crumble on the ground. It is joined by the encapuchonné man, who fixes it, drinks in a gourd, before declaring:
Just with our balance, a crow is posed on a branch. In a few seconds, it will fly away. ” the crow flies away. “Here. We crossed the Solstice of summer. And while others celebrate the most interminable day of the year… we secretly will delight we by the return by the long nights. ” It marks a pause. The screen melts with the black, and he adds: “you Raise.
Deliver V

Built and diffused in two parts, Livre V continues the intrigue of the preceding books. The first part concentrates on the dislocation of the kingdom of Arthur, on the desertion from the knights of the Roundtable, like on the swing of Lancelot on the side of the evil, while the second part milked of the abandonment of the capacity by Arthur and the search for potential heirs on the coasts to Brittany.
First part
Repenting Them
The months passed since the summer solstice, and the winter has just fallen on the kingdom. The conspirators orcaniens - Loth, Galessin and Dagonet - decide to go to return visit in Arthur to beseech its forgiveness following their missed coup d'etat. Arthur proves to be of a not very common leniency towards the traitors.
the New Clans
Little by little, the court of Kaamelott disaggregates. Torn between their debt towards the tavernier and their obligations with the Roundtable, Perceval and Karadoc decide to leave Kaamelott and to found their own autonomous clan (“Crusty” then the “Semi-Crusty ones”) whose general headquarter is based with the tavern, to the great displeasure of Mevanwi. Yvain and Gauvain, so that Gauvain does not have to choose between the camp of his/her father and that of his uncle, assemble their own clan pushed by Arthur and Loth - even if they is shown a little hesitant when it is announced to them that they will not have any more a room with Kaamelott. Vis-a-vis this desertion, Bohort proposes to enlist with the Roundtable his/her Lionel brother (of which it was made mention during Livre III in the episode the Cousins ), even if, with the dires of Bohort, it would prove a little sensitive and timorous.
the Rock and Iron
Pushed by his mother, his mother-in-law and his aunt (their combined action proving more than Arthur cannot support some), the king must decide between replanting Excalibur in the rock or making a heir with the queen to regain his popularity. In cause of despair, Arthur will choose the first solution. Then, all the applicants of the known world run to withdraw the Sword of the rock.
The duke of Aquitaine
Among the many applicants, at Kaamelott the duke of Aquitaine arrives (from which it was mentioned niece in Livre III), come to try its chance more under the pressure of its news and ambitious woman that from her own choice. Débonnaire, it will be briskly let insult and abuse by Dame Séli, seeing in him a “parasite moreover” rather than a “member of gratin”. (It will go as far as proposing to present its excuses to be itself made plant a hoe in the thigh.) The duke will continue thereafter to let himself walk on the feet, in particular by his wife, until Arthur teaches to him the art of distributed assassinates. Particularly respectful towards king Arthur, he will refuse (like Bohort) to try to withdraw the Sword, to the great displeasure his woman. He will end up returning at his place, extremely of a new balance in his couple and of a direction of distributed incipient.
Lancelot and Méléagant
Carried disappeared after the attack surprised from Arthur in Livre IV, the noise is spread that Lancelot became insane, or died. On the councils of Méléagant, Lancelot is withdrawn in a cave in mountain. There, the man in black “prepares” the Knight of the Lake to follow his destiny - which seems to be to kill Arthur. For this purpose, Méléagant guides Viviane (the ex-Lady of the Lake) until Lancelot, and reveals to him that it was her “nurse” whereas the son of king Ban was temporarily regarded as the Elected official dedicated to reign on Brittany - until the gods consider it too characterial and choose another child for this exceptional destiny: Arthur, wire of Pendragon.
the Elected official
When comes the moment to withdraw the sword of the rock once again, Arthur announces with the general surprise that it does not arrive there. Actually, it did not test and benefits from this pretext to give up the throne and the search of Graal.
Second part
The second part is characterized by the renouncement of Arthur of the throne, its search for his/her children, and the disintegration of the capacity with Kaamelott.
King nomination new
Whereas Arthur is relieved of its throne, Kaamelott remains without king. An emergency meeting is organized in order to appoint the regent. After having, without success, begged Arthur to order just very small little, his/her father-in-law proposes to call upon an expert jurisconsult of the laws, in order to be able to find of them one which would appoint the new king.
The jurisconsult
Kaamelott calls upon a jurisconsult (Christian Clavier), who could find a law useful. Unfortunately, the incompetence of the Father Blaise in connection with the arrangement and the classification of the files of the library slow down in a consequent way research and strongly aggravate the jurisconsult (all the more large irritation as it does not profit for hospitality that a bed without cover and a piece of dry bread like meal). It ends finally up finding a law (of which paper was used to fix a cupboard): that will be king which succeeds in recovering the sword. If the king fails itself to recover it, but that nobody other arrives either there, while waiting for that the heir reaches 14 years, the queen will have to then indicate itself the regent, the women not having the right to control in Kaamelott.
The Léodagan period
It is thus with the Guenièvre queen that falls the responsibility of appoint the regent. Influenced by her father, it designates the Léodagan lord, who decides to take the kingdom in hand, without too great success. With the program: order to draw on all those which go on the path without authorization, lifting of the deferment granted to king Loth,… In short, reign of Léodagan the bloodthirsty man.
The Karadoc period
Eager to recover the capacity, in spite of its reputation of cod, Mévanwi manages to allure the jurisconsult, succeeds in subtilizing to him its act of exchange of wife and especially, the act of cancellation which it makes disappear. Being thus by this fact always the wife of the ex-king, Mévanwi thus indicates Karadoc as king de Logres, causing the significant rise of the clan of theCrusty ones.
Lancelot
Left to kill Arthur, Lancelot is wounded by his/her Lionel cousin who was of guard in an outpost, and which drew an arrow in the chest to him. Whereas he fails, Viviane appears, and tries to make him remind the gestures on phalanges to be carried out to be able to cure the wound by magic. Unfortunately, neither she nor Lancelot remember it, if not that she had taught him a counting rhyme crib to be able to remember some with an white knight, a river and a barrier.
