History of Capoue
Capoue is an old town of Italy of the south, in Campanie, which preserves many vestiges of the Roman epoch. Its name would come from Capys, grandfather of Enée.
Delights of Capoue

Capoue accommodates Hannibal and supports it against Rome in the Bataille of Zama; after the defeat of Hannibal, Capoue is punished with the confiscation of its territory and the deprivation of the citizenship.
Its Amphithéâtre is of a great richness and Gladiateur Thrace Spartacus celebrates it fought there (See Amphithéâtre of Capoue) initially in the Arène then against Rome by succeeding in the feat of ingenuity to make it tremble by there raising the Gladiateur S then the others Esclave S counter their Masters.
