Under category of the Ultrafond, the ultraone indicates the races on foot in kind length higher than that of the marathon, that is to say 42,195 km. The ultraone is practiced as well in underwood, as in mountain, in the desert or any natural environment. The purists estimate that this discipline really begins in fact beyond 100 km, while those of the trail place the bar between 50 and 70 km.
Ultra-trails the most known is:
- 100 km of Millau;
- the Ultraone of the Turn of Mont Blanc;
- the Great Raid of the Meeting;
- the States Western.
