Historia Brittonum
Historia Brittonum is a medieval text written in IXe century and attibué with the Breton Nennius. It gathers documents having milked with the history of the island of Brittany, and in particular with that of the Wales.
According to the historian Leon Fleuriot, the core of the work would have been composed towards 630 by Rhun, the son of Urien, king of Rheged, one of the kingdoms brittonic of north.
It is the oldest “History of Brittany”, islander or not, known.
