Hirnantien
The Hirnantien is the geological last stage of the higher Ordovicien or Bala , in the era Paléozoïque, two precedents being désignés :
- Ordovicien VI
- Ordovicien V
It extends from 445.6 ± 1,5 - 443.7 ± 1,5 My. He was regarded before as an age of the Ashgillien.
Hirnantien owes its name with Cwm Hirnant close to Bala , in the north of the Wales.
