Hiratsuka
Hiratsuka (平塚市, Hiratsuka-shi ) is a city (市, shi ) of the Préfecture of Kanagawa, with the Japan. The city was founded April 1932. Population of the east city of 257.460 inhabitants for a surface of 67.83 km ² (2005).
The municipal symbols are the Camphrier and the Œillet.
Hiratsuka is twinned or in partnership with the cities of:

- Takayama, Prefecture of Gifu, Japan
- Hanamaki, Prefecture of Iwate, Japan
Hiratsuka started to develop during the Edo period and that thanks to the railroad. Indeed, Hiratsuka is one of the 53 stations of the Tokaido line. April 1st 1932, Hiratsuka thus became the 4th more big city of the prefecture of Kanagawa, after Yokohama, Kawasaki and Yokosuka.
