Hirado
Hirado (平戸市; Hirado-shi) is a Japanese city located in the Préfecture of Nagasaki. It occupies an island connected to Kyūshū by a bridge.
Hirado was a major center of the international business in particular for the Edo period with China of Ming and the Dutchmen. The shoguns Tokugawa moved later the center commercial with Nagasaki.
In 2006, the city had a population estimated at 39,777 inhabitants for a density of 136.65 hab/km ². Surface of the east city of 168,73 km ².
Hirado is served by the trunk roads 204 and 383.
