Hippodrome of Enghien-Soisy

the hippodrome of Enghien-Soisy is located at approximately one kilometer commune of Enghien-the-Baths on the communes of Soisy-sous-Montmorency (to 96%) and Eaubonne (to 4%) (northern suburbs of Paris).

It was inaugurated the April 15th 1879. It is a Hippodrome which accommodates horse-races of gallop with a grass track and of trot with a track of 1.300 m out of sand with cord on the left. The track of trot was built in 1922 and the unit renovated in 1986 with the installation of a powerful lighting allowing the races into night.

The hippodrome can accommodate 20.000 spectators, including 3.000 in platform.

The principal race is the Grand Steeple Chase of Enghien, run in October. On the level of trot, the Prix of the Atlantic is a race of group 1 (international) disputed in April.

The hippodrome is directly served by the Gare of the Racecourse of Enghien, on the Transilien Paris-North.
