Hippocastanaceae

The family of the Hippocastanacées is a family of plants Dicotylédone S. According to Watson & Dallwitz it includes/understands 15 species divided into two kinds:
- Aesculus
- Billia
They are Arbre S or Arbuste S of the areas moderated with tropical.
For the phylogenetic classification, these plants are now included in that of the Sapindacée S.
Use
In the moderated areas, the most notable species is the horse chestnut tree ( Aesculus hippocastanum ) a large tree largely planted like Tree ornamental in the parks and garden.
