Hipólito Ruiz López
Hipólito Ruiz López (August 8th, 1754, Belorado, Burgos - 1815, Madrid), was a Spanish Botaniste known for its research on the flora of the Peru and the Chile during a forwarding under Charles III of Spain of 1777 to 1788. During the reign of Charles III, three major forwardings were sent to the New World; Ruiz and Jose Antonio Pavón were the first botanists for the first of these forwardings.
