Hinge-Pontouvre
Hinge-Pontouvre is a common French, located in the department of the Charente and the area Poitou-Charentes concerning the town of Angouleme.
Geography
History
The name of Hinge-Pontouvre goes back to 1904. The commune was called before " Houmeau-Pontouvre". The origin of Pontouvre is quite simply the contraction of " Bridges of Touvre" , river which crosses the commune. Gond owes its origin with a name of a very old family which had elected residence with Roffit: Gunds. The centenary of the name gave place in 2004 to the organization of demonstrations.
