  • At the beginning of the 11th century, the Moslem Lemtouna, Djoddala and Messoufa, vassal tribes of the Empire of Ghana, makes their unit while being submitted to the emir Tarsina. These Berbères belongs to the tribe Sanhadja, which occupies current the Mauritania. Died of Tarsina in 1023, his/her son-in-law Yahya Ibn Ibrahim succeeds to him.
