Hilo

Hilo is a coastal town of the State of Hawaii, with the the United States, which, with: 40759 inhabitants in 2002, is the most populated community island Hawaii' I.

Hilo is the seat of the Comté of Hawaii, which covers the totality of the island, and is located beside the Baie of Hilo. One finds two mountains close to the ville : Mauna leasing, an active volcano, and Mauna Kea, where ten astronomical observatories is located.

Autoproclamée city having the greatest number of Tsunami S in the world, Hilo shelters the museum of the Tsunamis.
