Hillocks
Buttes is a common Suisse of the Canton of Neuchâtel.
Population
The population of common was reduced by half since its apogee, in 1870, spending 1436 to 647 inhabitants. On the southern side of the valley, between the village and Chasseron is Robella, winter sports resort, including/understanding a chair-lift and four skis-lift, as well as a track of toboggan be/winter.
Religious life
Hillocks is a common Protestant woman, whose first Pasteur was Thomas Petitpierre. The temple, from its situation, dominates the village. It was built in 1705 on the site of an old vault dedicated to Saint Maurice. Its bell-tower, built in hors-d'oeuvre, was assistant of the building in 1854. The pommel of the wind vane culminates with nearly 35 m of the ground. An external gallery makes it tower of the arrow and makes it possible to admire the neighborhoods with 360°.
