Hill San Cristóbal of Santiago of Chile
The hill San Cristóbal is a hill located at Santiago of Chile in the district Bellavista and located close to the towns of Providencia and Recoleta. Its top culminates with 860 meters. Zoological gardens are installed there since the years 1920. For this time, a statue of the Virgin Mary, offered by the French government, has dominated the top. Jean-Paul II gave a mass in 1987 to it. A funicular makes it possible to reach the top and to have a beautiful sight on Santiago.
