Hill 400
The hill 400 ( Hill 400 English , also known under the name of Castle Hill ) was a 400 meters height hill providing a whole sight on the forest of Hurtgen ( Hürtgenwald in German).
It was a particularly important position for German and their artillery at the time of the Bataille of the forest of Hurtgen in 1944.
The December 7th 1944 the NewYork Times announced the catch of the hill by the 2 {{E}} Bataillon of US Rangers. The December 11th another report/ratio once again published in Time announced the failure of the German troops in their attempt to take it again.
