Highway 955
Québécois Highway with only one roadway (2 ways), the 955 dessert the Center-of-Quebec, more particularly the town of Victoriaville. The 955 is not a true highway, but a controlled road with access since A-955 does not have exchangers. They are rather intersections on level.
It binds the road 161 to the Autoroute 20 and the Autoroute 55. Since 2006, with the height of the 20, the 955 becomes the Autoroute 55.
At the origin, highway 955 at summer built to belong to the Highway 55 whereas this one had, with Richmond, to fork towards the east and to join the 955. This project was cancelled and the Autoroute 55 passes from now on to Drummondville, in the corridor of old the Autoroute 51.
