projected Québécois Highway, the highway 755 is in service, but is at present numbered Autoroute 40.
Originally, the Autoroute 40 was to avoid the downtown area of Three-Rivers and to pass to the north of its current way. I.e. in the axis of the western section of the Highway 40 (that coming from Montreal). The not built section of the 40 spreads out between highway 55 and the " courbe" , i.e. between kilometers 196 and 207. Current the Autoroute 40 in the downtown area would have been numbered 755 .
It briefly existed in the middle of the years 1980, but it was integrated into the Autoroute 40 when the construction of the original layout was suspended. Perhaps on the other hand, the highway 755 will renaîtera of its ashes in the future, when the 40 is built because of the increase in circulation.
