Highway 410
Highway 410
Québécois Expressway serving the west of the town of Sherbrooke, whereas his/her sister, the Autoroute 610 serves is city. The 410 is also called highway of the University of Sherbrooke. It connects the Autoroute 10 to the Boulevard of the University, for a length of 5,3 km.
The Ministry for Transport of Quebec envisages to lengthen soon the highway to the district Lennoxville in the south-east of the city. This would make it possible to withdraw downtown area part of the through traffic in direction of south and is. With this new section, the 410 would become truly a bypass.
In spite of the fact that the current segment of the highway has a North-South orientation, the directions posted on indications are Is and Western. This is owing to the fact that according to the future plans, the highway will have a East-West orientation and she wants to be a bypass of the 10 which is East-West.
