Synopsis
We are in a future distance and Connor MacLeod would have gained the price in its last combat of Highlander. Winner it would have had the right to age. But a climatic catastrophe obliges the men to live under shields controlled by an authoritarian regime. Connor MacLeod which took part in the design of these shields necessary at the time, loses his wife, dead of a disease caused by the catastrophe.
To kill Connor MacLeod, an enemy (Katana) sends his native planet to him (Zeist) new immortal. What returns youth and immortality to Connor MacLeod.

A continuation not easily accepted by the fans
One can already note that Gregory Widen scenario writer and creator of the series Highlander was not implied in the scenario of this film.This film generates an intense hatred on behalf of the fans of Highlander for several reasons.
It does not respect the codes imposed by preceding film:

- futuristic environment, whereas Highlander (except for the cartoon Highlander: The Animated Series) likes to remake to discover ends of life of passed of immortal the
But especially it gives the answer. From which comes the immortal ones? According to film, they would be outlaws, revolted of another planet who would have been sent on Earth by punishment. And the price of the winner of the last duel would be to be able to age and die.
