High voltage B
The field high voltage B (or HTB ) relates to the installations electric S in which the tension exceeds 50 000 Volt S in Alternative course or exceeds 75 000 volts in D.C. current.
Although the terms are not standardized, one indicates by
- - extra-high tension: the tensions in alternative course which are higher than 300 Kv and lower or equal to 800 Kv
- - ultra-high tension: the tensions in alternative course which are higher than 800 Kv. There exist currently projects 1100 Kv in China and 1200 Kv in India. In the years 1990, there was a very advanced project 1100 Kv with the Japan with tests of prototypes, but to date it was exploited only in 550 Kv.
