High Wycombe
High Wycombe is an English city Buckinghamshire to 50 km in the west of London. With the suburbs the population is approximately 93.000 inhabitants (2004).

History
The origin of the name of the city refers to " Wye" , the river which crosses the city and " combe" , valley timbered in Anglo-Saxon. Until 1911, the city bore the name of Chipping Wycombe or Chepping Wycombe.During the Second world war the city suffered important damage during air raid, and it center town was completely rebuilt post-war period.

During season 2000/01 it had its hour of glory in the world of football by reaching the semi-finals of the Cup after having beaten several large teams like Wimbledon, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City before being eliminated by Liverpool 2-1.
