High-Egypt
The High-Egypt is the area located at the low of the modern charts of the Egypt (directed south-north), as opposed to what its name lets think. From time immemorial, the the Nile having been the axis of main concern of the Egyptians, it is thus has him which reference makes the high .
The the Nile taking its source in the south of Egypt, and being thrown in the the Mediterranean in the delta in north, it is logical (according to the law of the flow of the rivers) that the south of the country is higher (in altitude) that north. This is why High-Egypt corresponds to the southern part of the Egypt, the necropolis thebaine until the High stopping of Aswan and the beginning of the Nubie.
