High-Brittany
The High-Brittany (the Haùtt-Bertaèyn in Gallo, Breizh Uhel in Breton) is the oriental party of the Brittany.
Istouaérr of Haùtt-Bertaèyn (in Gallo).
Traditionally, it corresponds to the Romance part or gallaisante of Brittany, the Low-Brittany being made up of the Breton-speaking part (cf Limite of High-Brittany and Low-Brittany). The regional language is there the Gallo, specific Langue of oil of High-Brittany.
It includes/understands the current departments:
- of Ille-et-Vilaine ( departamàn dou It or It )
- of the Loire-Atlantique ( departamàn dou Loère-Atlantiqe )
- of the oriental party of the Department of Morbihan ( departamàn dou Morbihan )
- of the oriental party of the Coast-with Armor ( departamàn dou Graéy d' Armor )
The linguistic limits follow a Western line roughly Saint-Brieuc - Vannes and the Eastern limits are lost with the speeches Mayennais, Angevin, and Poitevin with the borders of the Maine of the Anjou as well as the communes of the South the Loire of the Pays of Retz (Marches of Brittany).
