Hidrocefalia

The international Celtic Congrès is a cultural organization which seeks to promote the Celtic languages of the nations: the Ireland, the Scotland, the Wales, Brittany, Cornwall and Island of Man.

It was formed out of the existing organizations previously which had sought to advance on the same goals such as the Celtic Association or the side-Celtic Congrès . In 1867, took place the Celtic Congrès of Saint-Brieuc and in 1879, to the Eisteddfod of Cardiff, came a delegation from Bretons.

This congress met for the first time in 1917 with Birkenhead (Eisteddfod) and is annuellemnt joined together since then. There is a representation in each Celtic nation, although no branch cornouaillaise was represented until in the Années 1920, in spite of its participation in the Celtic association of 1904.

Each branch pursues the goals of this congress in its own area. The congress is an apolitical organization, although in the Années 1920, the National Party off Scotland (the precursor of modern the Scottish National Party) sought to accentuate its participation, and that the Irish nationalist, Eamon de Valera was had a presentiment of to be the director of the congress in the Années 1930.

Its object indicated is “… to perpetuate the culture, the ideals, and the languages of the Celtic people, and to maintain a contact intellectual and close, collaboration between the respective Celtic communities”. The Celtic congress should not be confused with a similar organization, the Celtic Ligue which covers the political subjects. Like the Celtic league, this organization tries to hold an annual international congress in one of the six Celtic countries, if possible with a slewing gear.
