Hideyori Toyotomi

Hideyori Toyotomi ( Toyotomi Hideyori ), 1593 - 1615, was the son and the heir designated to Hideyoshi Toyotomi, the Minister for the Supreme Businesses who unified the Japan. His/her mother, Yodo, were the niece of Nobunaga Oda.

When Hideyoshi dies in 1598, the five regents who it indicated to reign during the youth of Hideyori start to fight between them for the capacity. In 1600, after its victory with the Battle of Sekigahara, Ieyasu Tokugawa seizes the power. Hideyori marries the grand-daughter of Ieyasu, Senhime, then seven years old, so that its honesty towards the Tokugawa clan is assured. However, Ieyasu continuous to regard the Hideyori young person as a potential threat, and attacks Hideyori with the Siège of Osaka at the winter 1614. The attack is a failure, but Hideyori is " incité" to sign the truce and to dismantle defenses of its fortress, the Castle of Osaka.

In 1615, Ieyasu breaks the truce and attacks again. Hideyori is forced to flee in the mountains, where it commits suicide at the 22 years age, putting fine to the Toyotomi clan and paving the way at 250 years of shôgunat Tokugawa.
