Hideaki Ass

Hideaki Anno () is a realizer Japan board born the May 22nd 1960 with Ube, in the Préfecture of Yamaguchi. He is the creator of famous and discussed the animated series Neon Genesis Evangelion .

He is married with Moyoko Anno.

Biography

At the end of the years 1970, still student, Anno carry out its first film entitled Nakamu-To wrinkle using his camera 8mm which it has since the 17 years age.

At 20 years, it enters to the department of cinema of the Osaka College off Art and meets Yamaga Hiroyuki (with which it will create later the Studio Gainax).

The winter of this same year, Anno benefits from a school project to carry out a parody, Ultraman , for a ridiculous budget (8000 yens). When the hero, played by Yamaga, transforms himself into Ultraman , it is Anno which plays the part, without mask.

The following year it produces Ultraman Deluxe , film a 3 minute old in 8mm, and obtains the 5th place of the contest of its school.

With the beginning of the year 1980, he works on animation and conceives the design of a film directed by Yamaga making the opening of the Daicon 3 - the 20th Japanese annual convention of science fiction.

In 1984, Anno works on the animation of two major cartoon films: Nausicaä of the valley of the wind of Hayao Miyazaki and Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Does Do You Remember Coil? .

The Gainax Studio

Ass and Yamaga found the Studio Gainax in December 1984 to produce the film Royal Space Force: The Wings off Honneamise . Hideaki Anno is implied as well in the realization of promotional short-measuring intended to collect funds as in film itself: it is one of the directors of animation.

In 1988, Anno makes its beginnings in so much realizer with Top O Nerae! Gunbuster . It is a success, and volumes 2 and 3 follow in 1989 and 1990.

Parallel to Gunbuster , Hideaki Anno begins its second project of realization: the animated series Nadia, the secrecy of blue water . The series, diffused of 1990 to 1991, is a success, and a film leaves in 1991 but it does not take part in it.

Ass returns to its first passion: cinema-reality ( live live-action or film ).

In 1998, it carries out Love & Pop , entirely turned with the numerical video camera (FD), is a film on the prostitution of the teenagers ( Enjo kōsai or compensated dating ) in Japan.

Then in 2000, Shiki-Jitsu , much more aesthetically succeeded, studies the meeting of a realizer and a disturbed young woman which is devoted to strange daily ceremonies.

These two experimental films are produced by the Ghibli Studio, for which he had already worked ( Nausicaä , Château in the Sky ).

Return to the world of animation and the manga

2004 are the year of the return of Ass to the Studio Gainax, it carries out Cutie Honey , film adaptation of animates worship Cutey Honey , a Sentai rough of form, transposition literally of animated.

2007 are a return to the sources, with the work which made it famous: its series TV worship Evangelion. Ass wishes to make reappear its series with the advent of new technologies.
