Heusden-Zolder

Heusden-Zolder is a common Dutch-speaking of Belgium located in Flemish Région in the province of Limbourg. The total population of this commune is approximately 30.500 inhabitants for an total surface area of 53,23 km ².
History
A coal mining was in Zolder of 1923 to 1992. It is besides him which was the last of the Benelux to close its doors. The commune is also known thanks to its road racing set which accommodated the Grands Prix of Belgium of Formule 1 in 1973, of 1975 with 1982 and in 1984.The club of Football K. Beringen Heusden-Zolder SK, founded in 1999, disappeared in 2006.
