Professional path
Herve Novelli is, since 1982, chairman from SME of twenty paid specialized in the manufacture of prostheses and orthèses with Richelieu (Indre-et-Loire).He will be successively operations manager for the Employers' federation of the French Iron and steel industry, then to advise of the president of this room. Political course
It started by militating with the Extrême right-hand side: Federation of the nationalist students (1962/1964), Occident (1964/1968), then new Order (1969/1973), the National front (1973/1974) and finally the Left the new forces (1974/1981). With other executives of the NFP, it joined the National center of independent and country the with the beginning of the year 1980, then the UDF.He was the principal private secretary of Alain Madelin (his former companion of Occident) with the ministry for Industry, the postal and telecommunications authorities and Tourism, between 1986 and 1988. Appointed elected official of Indre-et-Loire in March 1993, his mandate parliamentary will be particularly marked by his action near the companies. He will found the Audace group thus for employment, joining together about fifty deputies resulting from the entrepreneurial medium. At the request of Gerard Longuet it will also coordinate of 1993 to 1995 the action of the deputies members of the PR.
Responsible for an interdepartmental mission on job creation in SME by Misters Longuet and Madelin, Herve Novelli will write a report/ratio on local economic development and employment within SME. In 1999, he is elected European Député on the list of Union RPR-DL, led by Nicolas Sarkozy and Alain Madelin. Since March 2001, Herve Novelli is assistant mayor of the commune of Richelieu, chair Mixed trade-union of the country of Chinonais and president of the community of communes of Richelieu.
He is elected appointed the June 16th 2002, for XIIe legislature (2002 - 2007), in the 4th district of Indre-et-Loire. He belongs to the group UMP. He launches with about thirty deputy an abstract group entitled " Réformateurs" , gathering liberal deputies coming from all the political families of UMP.
Herve Novelli is special protractor of the appropriations of the budget of industry and president of the special subcommittee charged to examine the economic bill of initiative.
On arrival of Nicolas Sarkozy to the presidency of UMP, on November 28th, 2004, Herve Novelli is named National secretary of the federations out of tandem with Christian Estrosi, then Roger Karoutchi.
The March 7th 2006, it officializes with Reciprocity the creation of the first current of UMP by announcing the creation of association “the Reformers” gathering approximately 80 deputies representing the liberal sensitivity of the movement. He is the founder and the first president.
June 17th, 2007, Herve Novelli is re-elected appointed fourth district of Indre-et-Loire with 52,56% of the voices; two days later, it becomes Secretary of State in charge with the companies (Industry-SME-SME-Craft industry and Trade) and of the foreign trade in the government Fillon.
