Louis-Auguste-Florimond Ronger known as Herve is a Compositeur, dramatic author, Acteur, Chanteur, Director and director of troop French, born the June 30th 1825 with Houdain, deceased the November 3rd 1892 with Paris.
He was the rival - and nevertheless friendly - of Jacques Offenbach. He had a son, also actor under the name of Gardel-Herve.
Biography
Orphan of father at ten years, Florimond To corrode " monte" with the capital where it becomes Choriste with the church Saint-Roch, raises of the type-setter Daniel-François-Spirit Auber with the Conservatoire, before being named Organiste of Bicêtre then of Saint-Eustace in 1845. Leader of the Odéon then Theater of the Palais Royal, it opens in 1854 a Café-concert in a small room of the boulevard of the Temple which it baptizes " Madnesses-Concertantes" then " Madness-News " and where it presents operettas to two characters of its composition ( the Type-setter hat , the Fine flower of Andalusia , a drama in 1779 …) at the sides of Kelm, but also one of the first works of Offenbach: Oyayaye or the Queen of the islands (1855). The fabric troop quickly, with the notable arrival of Jose Dupuis that Herve discharges Théâtre of Luxembourg-Bobino. It yields the room in 1959 to the actress Virginia Déjazet who renames it of her name.
Large traveller, it occurs in province as singer before reinstalling himself in Paris, Offenbach having obtained meanwhile the easing of the rules which govern the pieces of music, where it takes the direction of the Relaxation-Comic . the Knights of the Roundtable , Opera-puffs out in 3 acts, booklet of Chivot and Duru, which it gives to the Puff out-Parisian is the first of the great operettas of the " type-setter toqué" as one calls it in reference to his early work. In 1878, it holds the role of Jupiter in a resumption of Orphée with the hells under the direction of Offenbach itself then begins the cycle which it composes for Anna Judic, the star of the Théâtre of the Varieties: the Woman with Dad (1879), Roussotte (1881), Lili (1882) and finally Mam' zeal Nitouche (1883).
In 1886, Herve leaves Paris for London, where it occurs regularly since 1870. He returns to France in 1892 when he gives ultimate a Bacchanale little time before his disappearance, on November 3rd 1892.
