The Hertha BSC Berlin is a club of German Football evolving/moving in Bundesliga based with Berlin.
History
- 1892 : foundation of the club (the July 25th) under the name of Berliner FC Hertha
- 1923: fusion with Berliner SC 1899 in Hertha BSC Berlin
- 1945: closing of the club
- 1945: recasting of the club under the name of SG Gesundbrunnen
- 1945: the club is famous Hertha BSC Berlin
- 1963: 1st participation in a Cut of Europe (C3) (season 1963/64)
Origin of the name and the colors
The name of the club comes owing to the fact that Fritz Linder and its father had one day gone on a journey on a Steamer baptized Hertha . Its chimney was painted of white and blue bands, which are now the colors of the club.
