Heroes

Heroes ( the Heroes in Quebec) is a American Feuilleton televised created by Tim Kring and diffused since September 25th, 2006 on television on the network NBC. In French-speaking Belgium the serial is diffused on RTL-TVi since April 22nd, 2007 on television; in Swiss French since June 19th, 2007 on television on TSR; in France, since June 30th, 2007 on television on TF1; with the Quebec since July 18th, 2007 on television on the chain Mystery and with the Morocco since July 19th, 2007 on television on Al Aoula.

Synopsis

“Recently, of the individuals without any bond between them expressed at the very least particular gifts. Even if they in are not aware yet, these individuals will save the world and will change it forever. This passage of ordinary to extraordinary will not be done day at the following day. Any history has a beginning, the volume one of their epopee starts thus…”

The professor Chandra Suresh defends a theory according to which, the man would use only 10% of the capacities of his brain and which certain people would be in this moment even developing the 90% remainders and to acquire capacities like the levitation or cellular regeneration. The other researchers do not believe it, it then decides to seek then to meet these people with the supernatural capacities to explain the phenomenon to them which is expressed in them until it disappears. His/her son (Mohinder Suresh) then will take again research…

With Tokyo, a Japanese (Hiro Nakamura) discovers that it is able to curve the space time and of téléporter. With New York, an artist (Isaac Mendez) can paint the future, a politician (Nathan Petrelli) is able to fly while his brother (Peter Petrelli) to the capacity to adapt the capacities of the others Heroes when they are in the vicinity. With Los Angeles, a police officer (Matt Parkman) discovers that it is able to hear the thoughts of people. With the Texas, a Pom pom girl (Claire Bennet) discovers that it has the capacity to regenerate her cells at accelerated speed. With the Nevada, a unmarried mother (Niki Sanders) realizes that it has a powerful double malefic… The Heroes are everywhere, one discovers some more and more with the wire of the episodes.

Heroes is a chronicle of the life of these people, their bonds and of their destiny: to save the world…

Comments and anecdotes

As of its first day of diffusion in the United States, the serial was a great success of audience (14,3 million televiewers).
Heroes has also received the highest note granted for five years to drama series diffused on NBC.
On many points, the serial takes as a starting point the American Comic S : the titles hookers of the episodes, as well as the other incrustations of texts use police forces close to those of the comics . Moreover, the titles “are incorporated” in the image, like wants it the use in the first pages of the comics . For example: the title can be superimposed with the sand of a beach, on a window, etc

the majority of the comics drawn by Tim Salts ( Superman: Every Season , Batman: A Length Halloween , Daredevil Yellow ) was scénarisés by Jeph Loeb, itself credited as a coproducer and scenario writer with Heroes .
In an episode, the character of Candice Wilmer offers several comics to small Micah Sanders. In the batch appear the first edition of the Silver Surfer , extremely rare and expensive (like it points out it itself), but also a comic-book named Hulk: Grey , written and drawn by Jeph Loeb and Dirty Tim. This comic-book is appeared in France into 2004 with the Panini editions.
Several characters of the serial and some of its intrigues can evoke with the amateurs of comics the Watchmen ( the Guards ) of Alan Moore, Rising Stars of Joe Michael Straczynski, or even famous the X-Men (and more particularly episodes related to the future of the mutants). In France, against any waiting, the serial knew a score of audience more than honourable at the time of its first evening of diffusion (with a peak of 6.010.000 televiewers, that is to say 33,7% of market shares). However, the topic of the supermen, and more generally of the Science fiction, is far from being as popular there as in the United States. Moreover, TF1 took the bet to program the serial in first started from evening, Saturday evening. However, the audience of the series crumbled thereafter, losing nearly 2.000.000 televiewers.
Concerning French specificities of Heroes , the first version of French doubling did not convince TF1, which claimed a new worked over again version (thus delaying the diffusion of the serial on the Belgian chain RTL-TVi).
TF1 replaced the credits of origin by French credits for the diffusion in France of this summer. The song is entitled the Hero of another and is interpreted by Victoria Petrosillo. In the fifth episode of the second season, on the fabric that Peter Petrelli painted, the scene is held with the corner of the St. Lawrence Boulevard and the street Saint-Jacob to Montreal, but on the panel of street, he is written “Street Saint-Jaque”.
