Hermann de Hauteville

Hermann of Hauteville is a Norman prince of Italy, second wire of Onfroi de Hauteville, count of Melfi and Apulie (1051/1057) and of Altrude of Sorrente, princess lombarde of Southern Italy. Á the untimely death of his/her father in 1057, still young, it is entrusted to his/her uncle Robert Guiscard with his older brother Abagelard. Like this last, he is disinherited later by Guiscard.

He is perhaps the Hermann, count Norman of Cannes in Apulie, and died in 1097 with Byzance at the time of the Croisade, whereas he accompanied his cousin Bohémond de Hauteville, prince of Tarente.
