Hermann Miller

Hermann Miller Inc. , founded in 1923, is a American Entreprise of pieces of furniture and office equipment whose seat is with Zeeland (Michigan).

With the beginning of the year 1940, Hermann Miller starts to work with designers. In 1945, George Nelson is named director of the design. During years 1950 Hermann Miller publishes queques ones of the objects emblematic of after war. Among the Designer S working or having worked for Hermann Miller, one counts Alvar Aalto, Don Chadwick, Charles Eames, Ray Eames, Alexander Girard, Paul László, Isamu Noguchi, Robert Probst, Gilbert Rohde, Don Shepard and Bill Stumpf.

The company is with dimensions with NASDAQ under initials MLHR. Its sales turnover in 1923 was of 262.000 US$, in 2006 it was of 1,74  milliards  de  $. Founded by Dirk Jan DePree, it is then directed from 1950 to 1980 by her son max DePree.
