Hermann Maximilian Carl Ludwig Friedrich zu Solms-Laubach

Hermann Maximilian Carl Ludwig Friedrich zu Solms-Laubach is a German Botaniste , born in 1842 with Laubach and died in 1915 with Strasbourg.

He studies with Freiburg at the sides of Heinrich Anton de Bary (1831-1888) and of Alexander Karl Heinrich Braun (1805-1877) then with Berlin in 1865. He receives his enabling with the university of Market in 1868. He teaches with Strasbourg 1872 with 1879 then starting from 1888 as with Göttingen of 1879 with 1888 where he also directs the Botanical garden.

Solms-Laubach is interested in morphology and the systematic vegetable one like with the Paléobotanique. He travels to the Portugal in 1866 and to Java in 1883 - 1884. He receives the Médaille linnéenne in 1911.
