Hermann Conring

Hermann Conring (* November 9th 1606 with Norden; † December 12th 1681 with Helmstedt), Coringius

He professed natural philosophy, then medicine with Helmstedt, and enjoys a great consideration near the Duc Brunswick and several princes, who often consulted it and gave him the title of advising, with pensions. He wrote on the right, the policy, the history, physics, medicine and theology.

Its principal works are:

  • Of Origin juris germanici , 1643;
  • De Germanorum imperio romano , 1644;
  • De Imperii Germanici republica , 1654;
  • Thesaurus rerum publicarum totius orbis , etc

It moreover left a crowd of particular essays and letters.

Its Works , published in Brunswick in 1780, form 7 folio volumes. Several are with the Index Librorum Prohibitorum with Rome.
