Hermód

Hermód (or Hermóðr in Old norrois), wire of Odin and Frigg, brother of Baldr. Its name means valiant with the combat .

Hermód is a divine messenger.

He dared to venture in the kingdom of deaths to meet Hel so that it releases her Baldr brother. Hel accepted in the only condition that all cry it. Baldr gave then to Hermód Draupnir, the ring of Odin that this one had deposited on roughing-hew it at the time of the incineration of his/her son. Chick, the wife of Baldr, gave to the messenger a gold ring for submission to Fulla and a part of flax for Frigg. Hermód turned over then near the gods with this good news, and those traversed the Last nine worlds, requiring of each one to cry Baldr.

Hermód can be seen like during in the Scandinavian Mythologie of Hermes in the Greek Mythologie, or of Mercure in the Roman Mythologie.
